-------------------------------------------
Welcome to this short course on ecotourism, brought to you by the Centre for Responsible tourism Singapore.

Ecotourism is a form of travel that enable the travellers (ecotourists) to see, learn and appreciate nature and local peoples' cultures.

Ecotourism can be a powerful way to generate livelihoods for locals. Local people who live in places far from the cities often find jobs difficult to come by.

Ecotourism is sometimes also called responsible tourism, besides being called nature base travel.
